Essential Maintenance Works. Work is currently being undertaken to refurbish the roof and the facade of Imperial War Museum London. Completion of this work is due in November 2008. Scaffolding has been constructed to facilitate this work. The Museum remains open to the public as usual.

For Your Eyes Only: Ian Fleming and James Bond
17th April 2008 to 1st March 2009
To celebrate the centenary of Ian Fleming’s birth, Imperial War Museum London is producing the first major exhibition devoted to the life and work of the man who created the world’s most famous secret agent, James Bond.

From War to Windrush
13th June 2008 to 29th March 2009
To mark the sixtieth anniversary of the arrival of the MV Empire Windrush in Britain in 1948, this exhibition will tell the personal stories of the involvement of Black men and women from the West Indies and Britain in the First and Second World Wars.

Breakthrough
4th March 2008 to 31st December 2008
A selection from the Imperial War Museum's collection of British art from the twentieth century.

The work of Kurdish contemporary artist Osman Ahmed.

The Children's War
18th March 2005 to 1st January 2010
A major exhibition looking at the home front in Britain through the eyes of children.

The Holocaust Exhibition
This permanent exhibition uses historical material to tell the story of the Nazis' persecution of the Jews and other groups before and during the Second World War. Photographs, documents, newspapers, artefacts, posters and film offer stark evidence of persecution and slaughter, collaboration and resistance.
