Interdisciplinary and whole-school approaches to teaching and learning greatly enrich young people’s understanding of the Holocaust. Schools are increasingly taking a whole-school approach to Holocaust Memorial Day, with a full day of cross-curricular lessons and activities.
To encourage a co-ordinated, whole-school approach, we offer free one-day programmes at the Museum, focusing on how different National Curriculum subjects can effectively contribute to young people’s understanding of the Holocaust and help them to find meaning in this history for their lives today.
We also organise one-day seminars, teacher training workshops and diversity training to a number of police forces and other professional organisations. Call 0207 091 3045.
