Visitors Comments

Visitors to The Holocaust Exhibition are invited to leave comments at the end of the Exhibition or to feed back via the museum comments book.  You can read a selection of their responses here.

Moved, deeply… shocked. Although we all know the truth now, it is a shaking human experience to be confronted with it.

This powerful exhibit should act as a warning to our children.

As the son and grandson of survivors of the Holocaust, I found you exhibit extremely moving. It dealt with some extraordinarily difficult subjects with great sensitivity, while offering new layers of insight.

Thank you for this. A reluctant visitor has been given food for thought. We can not be reminded of this enough.

There are few truly sobering experiences in life. This exhibition is one such experience.

An excellent exhibition. I watched the faces of the other visitors - not Jewish or child of survivors like me - and I feel thankful that this institution exists.

If an exhibition of such an horrible event can be said to be good, then let it be said of this. Incredible.

This is undoubtedly one of the best Holocaust exhibitions I ever saw… what you expose, the number of original materials, videos, pictures, is extraordinary.

How could anyone have done something so terrible?
An 11 year-old girl

Although we are told of what happened by teachers, we are shown a whole new light by being here and hearing experiences, as disturbing as it is, this history should not be forgotten.
A 15 year old schoolgirl

Simply indescribable. I just wish that the evil of hatred, may it be based on religion, culture, caste, or creed, be forever buried.

As there are no words to describe human cruelty, thank you for these images which, although shocking, reveal a sad truth that must never be forgotten.  I hope that my generation feels what I felt here, and always remembers the innocent lives lost.  There exists only one race on earth: the human race.

Bravo.
It was a moving exhibition due to its realism.  It makes one realise the horror of the extermination camps and the way the Jews were treated.  Bravo

Thank you for this museum and wonderful exhibition which enables us, young French Jews, to better understand the horrors of this massacre - hoping that these horrors will never reproduce themselves.  Thank you for continuing to show history to future generations.

Please never Again.
I am 19 years old and once again I have cried while reading the letters, listening to witnesses and looking at photographs. Please, never again.

We believe we know so much about the holocaust, but it is at exhibitions like this one that we actually realise that we know nothing.  Thank you for this- may this never reproduce itself.  It's unfortunate that the displays are not in more languages.

I congratulate you for this excellent museum that fights so that nobody forgets what happened in the past. I am fighting beyond active memory not to forget.

Gracias, gracias, gracias.
Thank you for everything. We are obliged to know this history so that it never happens again. This exhibition truly moved me, it made me feel much closer to all of these people. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

One person's story touches us more than 1½ years or more learning in history lessons at school. Thank you to all who tell their stories.
