This web-site presents an inventory of war memorials in the Republic of Ireland. The survey began in 2003 in the south County Dublin area, and now includes a full inventory of memorials in the county of Dun Laoghaire Rathdown, carried out in conjunction with the Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Heritage Project. The inventory is progressing to cover other areas, and further memorials are being added as they are recorded. A British registered charity that works to ensure a tangible response to the problems faced by conflict-affected people. Through its own operational teams, and through specialised capacity-building projects, MAG clears land of mines and ordnance, returning the safe land to poor communities so as to reduce the physical and economic suffering that landmines and unexploded ordnance cause. The National Archives of England, Wales and the United Kingdom is one of the largest archival collections in the world, spanning 1000 years of British history. It is responsible for looking after the records of central government and the courts of law, and making sure everyone can look at them. |
