The Car & Aero Museum - Armstrong Siddeley cars, Rolls Royce aero engines and more.- Visit the only Armstrong Siddeley Car Collection open to the public with many fine examples of cars to see dating from 1920 up to 1960. On display are historical aero engines from Rolls Royce and Armstrong Siddeley, including a powerpalnt from Concorde 001, one of the first engines to power the supersonic airliner in 1969. The D-Day Museum was opened in 1984 to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of D-Day. Its centrepiece is the magnificent Overlord Embroidery commissioned by Lord Dulverton of Batsford (1915-92) as a tribute to the sacrifice and heroism of those men and women who took part in Operation Overlord. Explosion! is an award winning museum of naval warfare created within 18th century buildings at the Royal Navy's former armaments depot of Priddy's Hard, in Gosport, Hampshire.
