Commercial Filming

Imperial War Museum London is a filming location unlike any other.

Beyond the striking Georgian architecture of the well-known front façade lies a wealth of filming opportunities.

The rich collection of exhibits housed in accessible, spacious galleries provides the perfect backdrop for projects requiring an historical focus.

The Museum's charming and accurate re-creation of a wartime house has proved a popular setting for film productions requiring a 1940s domestic background.

Behind the scenes, Imperial War Museum London offers unique and unusual filming spaces ranging from underground passages to book stacks, from a gritty rear yard to a traditional domed reading room (click here for 360º virtual tour).
