IWM London offers unique opportunities to discuss some of the key elements in the Citizenship curriculum: conscription, volunteering, a sense of community, the role of the media in reporting war, propaganda, why and how we commemorate war, the Empire and Commonwealth, the historic roots of the European Union, peacekeeping and defence.

We Will Remember Them
Why do we remember the veterans of wars past? This session runs during the month of November to coincide with Remembrance Sunday. Suitable for Key Stage 1 pupils.

Holocaust Education: Orientation and feedback sessions
Visits to the Holocaust Exhibition are supported by these sessions led by specially trained educators, and can be tailored to specific needs. Issues of race, equality, discrimination and community can be explored here.

Drama Activities
A changing offer of drama and art activities ranges over a variety of citizenship themes: past activities have included: 'Anne Frank, Would You Have Helped?', 'Kristallnacht', and 'Images of Leadership'.
